I am a PhD researcher in Geography at the Â鶹ÊÓƵ, where my work investigates how different land tenure arrangements influence forest conservation across the Brazilian Amazon. By combining remote sensing, spatial analysis and modelling, my research seeks to better understand the drivers of forest loss and degradation, and to support the development of more effective conservation strategies.
My academic background includes a degree in Forest Engineering from the University of São Paulo (USP – Brazil) and a master’s in Remote Sensing, together with research experience at Brazil Data Cube and the Wildfire Monitoring Programme at INPE (National Institute for Space Research - Brazil). Throughout this trajectory, I have focused on forest cover change, degradation monitoring systems and climate impacts on Amazonian landscapes. I am currently funded by NERC at and am an active member of the University’s Institute for Environmental Futures.
