Profile

I am a Post-Doctoral Research Associate with a passion for innovation, co-creation, empathy and inclusive change. In my current role, I span two ambitious projects. The first is a university wide project entitled: Inclusive Research Environment Achieved through Culture Change (I-REACCH) where I lead the development of a co-designed toolkit that supports research leaders to foster inclusive and empathic research cultures in sustainable ways. The second is with the Stoneygate Centre for Empathic Healthcare, where I explore how patient and practitioner characteristics influence the perceptions of empathy.

My career is guided by the belief that research can be a powerful catalyst for cultural, scientific and societal change. Central to this, is a commitment to challenging dominant narratives, amplifying underrepresented voices, and engaging with intersectionality to ensure that both research and the environments in which it is conducted are equitable and inclusive. I draw on my background and expertise in tissue engineering, innovation, design thinking, intervention development, and rigorous evaluation, alongside my love of creativity, curiosity, and collaboration.
