Applying for a PGCE at Leicester
The PGCE is a very demanding course and we are looking for applicants with a wide range of skills, knowledge, experience and aptitude.
It will help your application if you decide which age range and subject specialism you are interested in before you apply. If you are unsure, you should spend some time in schools so that you can get a feel for what it's like to teach in a primary or secondary setting. This will help you to make an informed decision.
If you're unsure about anything or need advice on preparing your application, feel free to contact our PGCE Primary and Secondary teams, who will be happy to help. You could also attend one of our Routes into Teaching events, where you can talk directly to our tutors and partners about what we look for in applications.
