Pollen and Spore Counts

This page is dedicated to reporting the pollen and fungal spore levels in the East Midlands, paying particular mention to those known to be allergenic.

Grass pollen dropped to low levels yesterday (10 June) Grass pollen levels are likely to rise with temperature as we progress through June. (11 June)

Fungal spores reached moderate levels over the last week (02-08 June). On dryer days Cladosporium was above the allergenic threshold. (11 June)

Yesterday saw low levels of nettle pollen in the air. Dryer weather is likely to see levels of nettle and other weed pollens rise again.  (11 June)

Tree pollen levels remain low in Leicester as the season is coming to an end. Elder, oak, pine and yew were recorded. (27 May).
